| Baskets from up high… Long winters in complete isolation asked for hobbies, crafts, some kind of activity. Attention deficit disorder not yet being defined, lighthouse keepers had to invent their own kind of medicine to while away long hours, days and weeks. One such renowned lighthouse keeper craft was creating baskets, using wood splints and woven reeds.
